My name is David Hogg and I have lived in Harworth & Bircotes all my life, 23 years in Bircotes and since 1970 in Harworth. In April 2006 completed studies with the Open University gaining a Batchelor of Science degree.

These web pages are a very brief history of Harworth and Bircotes and are not meant to be exhaustive. The prime reason in creating this site is to record something of our history. It is hoped as time goes on these pages can be updated.

Should anyone have any further information that could be used to expand the site or have any reference material, please do not hesitate to contact me using the feedback page. I will be only too willing to include other contributions concerning the history of the village.
